The presents are opened, and the ornaments are removed from the tree…so now what? Do you know where to put that Holiday tree? Until January 18, 2013 the City of Manhattan Beach will be taking trees to be recycled for free. Waste Management, will be in charge of this recycling effort and encourages all Manhattan Beach residents to participate. There are a few guidelines to this recycling effort. All decorations should be removed from the tree and all trees should be less than 7 feet tall. If the trees are larger than seven feet, the holiday trees will need to be cut into pieces. The trees also must be placed on the curb on your collection day to ensure pick-up, if not, the trees will have to wait until the next week to be picked up.
