Among the numerous sponsors and ambassadors at the event, look out for the following people and businesses:
Realtors and “Green Renovators,” Carol Glover and Dave Salzman, will speak at the SAGE expo on Sunday April 21 at 1 p.m. Their talk is entitled “Adding Value to Your Home: What Works: What is a Waste of Money,” and contains important information for current homeowners looking to increase the value of their property. Aside from having extensive experience and knowledge in Real Estate, Carol and Dave are extremely active in the Manhattan Beach community and love to give back. They volunteer for various organizations including the Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce, Manhattan Beach Women in Business, Manhattan Beach Mayor’s Youth Council and Boy Scouts of America.

In the spirit of celebrating local business, esteemed writer Heidi Butzine, author of “Shop Local, A Practical Pain Free Guide to Shopping with Purpose,” will be at SAGE, signing copies of her book. According to an article posted by Online PR News released earlier this month, Butzine explained how shopping local can reduce everyone’s “carbon footprint”: “An important step towards leading a green lifestyle includes sustainability and taking steps towards conservation. Shopping local is directly related not only because it means less driving thereby reducing harmful exhaust emissions but more money spent locally stays within the community supporting the sustainability of our local economy. Following the tips I offer in my book, in some cases I’ve actually spent less at independently owned local businesses and had less waste by getting better quality products that last longer.”
